2. General Information on Data Processing

Scope of processing of personal data
We only process personal data of our users to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website along with our content and services.

Legal basis
Where we obtain consent for processing operations involving personal data, Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR serves as the legal basis. Where processing is necessary for the performance of a contract or for pre-contractual measures, Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR serves as the legal basis. Where processing is necessary to protect a legitimate interest, Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR serves as the legal basis.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider (hosting provider). The personal data collected on this website is stored on the hosting provider’s servers. This may include, in particular, IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, contract data, contact details, names, website access data, and other data generated via a website.

The hosting provider is used for the purpose of fulfilling our contractual obligations toward potential and existing customers (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR) and in the interest of a secure, fast, and efficient provision of our online services by a professional provider (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).

Our hosting provider processes your data only to the extent necessary to fulfil its service obligations. A data processing agreement (DPA) is in place with our hosting provider.

Our hosting provider: IONOS SE Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany https://www.ionos.de/terms-gtc/terms-privacy/

4. SSL/TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of your browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock icon in your browser bar.

5. Data Collection When Visiting the Website (Server Log Files)

Each time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects data and information from the accessing computer system. The following data is collected:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is stored in the log files of our hosting provider. Collection is based on Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR, to ensure a smooth connection and comfortable use of the website, as well as to evaluate system security and stability.

6. Contact

If you contact us by email (via a mailto link) or by phone, the data you provide (e.g. your email address and, where applicable, your name, phone number, and the content of your message) will be stored by us in order to process your request. No contact form is used on this website.

Processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry relates to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures; in all other cases, it is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR), where such consent has been requested.

7. Cookies

No cookies requiring consent are set in the publicly accessible area of this website. In the password-protected administration area (login), technically necessary session cookies are used, which are required for the login functionality (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

8. Newsletter (Mailchimp / MC4WP)

On our website, we offer you the opportunity to sign up for our newsletter via a sign-up form. The form is generated and displayed directly on our website using the WordPress plugin “MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress” and is not embedded as an external iframe. As a result, no connection to Mailchimp’s servers is established simply by visiting the page — a connection is only made once the form is actively submitted.

The newsletter is provided by The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA (“Mailchimp”).

When you sign up for the newsletter, you enter your email address and name and confirm your consent to this privacy policy via a required checkbox. This data is transmitted to Mailchimp and stored there for the purpose of sending the newsletter. Registration takes place using a double opt-in procedure: after signing up, you will receive a confirmation email and must confirm your registration by clicking a link.

Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter via the “unsubscribe” link included in every newsletter email, or by contacting us using the contact details provided in the imprint.

Since Mailchimp is based in the USA, this involves a transfer of data to a third country. Mailchimp has certified under the “EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework” and/or Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission are in place as an appropriate safeguard under Art. 46 GDPR.

Further information can be found in Mailchimp’s privacy policy: https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/

9. Search Engine Optimization with Yoast SEO

We use the WordPress plugin “Yoast SEO” to optimize our website for search engines (e.g. generating XML sitemaps, meta information). In its standard configuration, Yoast SEO does not process any personal data of website visitors and does not set any cookies. It operates purely as a server-side tool for optimizing the site’s structure.

10. Social Media – Links

Our website includes links to our profiles on Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok. These are plain hyperlinks (no embedded plugins or iframes), so no data is transmitted to these platforms simply by visiting our website.

Only if you actively click on one of these links will you be redirected to the respective platform, and data processing by that provider may occur (e.g. collection of your IP address, cookies set by the provider). We have no influence over this processing. From that point on, the respective provider is solely responsible for the data processing.

For information on how your personal data is handled when using these platforms, please refer to the respective providers’ privacy policies:

11. External services

Use of Script Libraries (CDN)

This website uses JavaScript libraries delivered via external Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) to implement animations and visual effects:

  • cdnjs (Cloudflare, Inc.) – for providing GSAP and ScrollTrigger
  • unpkg – for providing Lenis

When you access this website, a connection is established to the servers of the respective providers in order to load the required script files. In the process, the IP address of the accessing device may be transmitted to the respective provider. This processing is technically necessary to provide the website’s functionality, including animations and scrolling effects.

The use of these services is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically reliable and high-performance provision of the website). No cookies are set and no tracking is carried out in connection with these script libraries.

For more information about the providers’ privacy practices, please refer to:

12. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing, and, where applicable, a right to rectification, blocking, or deletion of this data. In particular, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Right to withdraw consent already given (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)

For these and any further questions on the subject of data protection, please feel free to contact us at any time using the address given in the imprint.

13. Right to Object

If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR, you have the right, pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, to object to the processing of your personal data, provided there are grounds arising from your particular situation.
